Job summary
Norwalk Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant or EMT to provide nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and CT Nursing Assistant or EMT credentials.
Shifts are 8 hours, between 7:00am and 11:30pm, with rotating weekends and holidays. The hospital is a Level II Trauma Center offering comprehensive ER and medical services to Fairfield County and the NY metro area.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Nursing Assistant or EMT in Connecticut is required/preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Communicates with patients and staff in a courteous manner.
- Maintains unit supplies and equipment and uses computer systems as needed.
- Performs additional duties as assigned and adheres to hospital policies.
