Job summary

CVHS Health Services in Petersburg, VA is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse to join our team. The role supports age groups from infancy to geriatric, with a focus on patient-centered care in a high-volume clinic.

Salary ranges from $23.55 to $29.67 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement, and tuition/license reimbursement. Schedule is Monday through Friday, with holidays and PTO as described.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
• Licensed by the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
• At least 2 years of general patient care experience as LPN/RN.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Experience in telephone triage preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks for a wide age range (infant to geriatric).
• Maintains inventory of medical supplies and orders as needed.
• Manages treatment and care resources efficiently.
• Supports clinical staff recruitment and orientation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Performs tasks pertinent to age of patient (infancy to geriatric)
• Maintains accurate inventory of medical supplies and orders supplies as necessary.
• Manages all treatment and care related resources in an effective and cost efficient manner
• Works with the practice leaders in clinical support staff recruitment
• Manages orientation of new clinical support staff
• Provides leadership, guidance and support for clinical support staff members
• Ensures care is provided to patients in accordance with the appropriate professional and company standards
• Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and other staff
• Maximizes the education and development of staff and self; this may be in conjunction with a nursing supervisor and/or other practice leaders
• Promotes, monitors and participates in all quality improvement activities
• Assists in the efficient flow of patients
• May assume responsibility for ER situations until supervisor or MD arrives.
• Ensures coordination of triage orientation and triage program development.
• Attends work as scheduled.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
• Supports a team-based approach to patient-centered medical care.
