Job summary

MissionCare at Holyoke is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to oversee patient care across units and supervise licensed and unlicensed nursing staff, ensuring continuity and high-quality resident care.

The role includes on-call duties, emergency responsiveness, and staff training to maintain competency across units. Candidates should have MA RN licensure (LPN considered), strong English skills, EMR experience, and IV certification.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered MA RN license preferred.
• LPN license considered for eligibility.
• Minimum of 2 years in increased responsibility as a Charge Nurse or Supervisor in long term care and/or rehabilitation facilities.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects and work with all disciplines in a multi-cultural environment.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing) required.
• Working knowledge of EMR systems.
• IV Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains overall responsibility for resident assessments and for recognizing and reporting changes to the attending physician.
• Assists in management of all levels of nursing staff to ensure accountability to standards of nursing practice, quality care and treatments.
• Conducts house rounds and collaborates with Charge Nurses on admissions and CNA coordination for quality care.
• Responds to clinical emergencies, regulatory visits, surveys, and issues as needed.
• Participates in on-call rotation for clinical emergencies and facility issues.
• Assists DNS, ADNS and SD in ongoing training of nursing staff and maintains unit competencies.

Summary:

The primary responsibility of the RN Supervisor is to provide supervision and coordination of patient care in all units as assigned for licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel in the Nursing Department in order to provide continuity and quality resident care.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains overall responsibility for resident assessments and for the recognition and reporting of resident change of condition to the attending physician.

• Assists in the management of all levels of nursing staff to ensure accountability to all standards of nursing practice, quality care and treatments

• Makes house rounds regularly throughout the shift and consults with Charge Nurses concerning new admissions and acutely ill residents; assists Charge Nurses with coordination of CNA assignments as needed to ensure efficient quality care

• Available to respond to clinical emergencies, regulatory agency visits, surveys and issues as needed

• Participates in on-call rotation for clinical emergencies and other clinical/facility issues

• Assists the DNS, ADNS and SD in on-going training of nursing staff to support clinical services and to meet and exceed established clinical competency levels; monitors and assists in the training of specialty unit personnel to maintain active competencies and/or certifications required for the specific unit

Qualifications:
