Torrington Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an RN supervisor to provide exceptional patient care and support to our residents. The role emphasizes leadership within a multidisciplinary team and adherence to nursing standards on-site in Torrington, CT.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license in Connecticut, demonstrates clinical excellence, and can supervise staff, manage acute situations, and ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of CT.
• Experience in a nursing home or hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Record a patient’s medical history accurately.
• Take and record vital signs (BP, temp, HR, etc.).
• Monitor patient progress and medication effects.
• Assist with daily activities (eating, bathing, mobility).
• Administer injections and wound care; manage basic medical tasks.
• Observe and document patient condition and charting.
• Support families with guidance and discharge planning.
• Lead charge nurse and manage acute situations.

Torrington Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for caring, dedicated, and hard working individuals who share our goal of providing exceptional care to our residents

The ideal candidate will be experienced in giving diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm.

Responsibilities

• Record a patient’s medical history accurately


• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.


• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.


• Monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts


• Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.


• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks


• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned


• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed


• Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions


• Support charge nurse’s


• Manage acute situations


• Admissions and discharge

• Positive attitude a must


• On call requirement for this role

Skills

• Proven experience as RN supervisor


• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team


• Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures

• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology


• Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: From $50.00 per hour
