Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Waxahachie, TX is seeking a Nursing Supervisor Oncology to lead clinical operations across two outpatient cancer centers. The role requires supervising nurses and other healthcare professionals, maintaining safe patient care, and partnering with the Oncology Nurse Manager to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing and Texas RN license or eligibility.
• Five years of RN experience with leadership exposure.
• Oncology experience preferred; OCN certification preferred or within 12 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

Job Summary - Nursing Supervisor Oncology

Schedule is: Full time, weekdays. M-F, 8a-4:30p

Your role as Nursing Supervisor involves supervising healthcare professionals and ensuring high patient care levels. Maintain a safe environment and nurture nursing practice to improve patient outcomes. Oversee operations, productivity, and resource distribution to meet department priorities.

Essential Functions Of The Role

• Working closely with members from different professional fields to ensure coordinated patient care.
• This leadership position is responsible for supervising clinical operations across two outpatient Cancer Centers while partnering closely with the Oncology Nurse Manager to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
• The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to mentor staff, manage daily operations, resolve clinical issues, and foster collaboration among physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and ancillary departments. The candidate should be comfortable leading change, supporting quality and regulatory initiatives, maintaining staffing and workflow efficiency, and promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and exceptional patient experience
• Assessing how effective the nursing practices are and infusing practices and research discoveries that are evidence-based.
• Fostering a caring and outcome-promoting environment.
• Encouraging development and opening up growth opportunities for staff members.
• Efficiently managing resources to promote safety within the healthcare system.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree

• CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -Registered Nurse (RN) valid in Texas
