Job summary

The Shores of Lake Phalen in Saint Paul, MN, seeks a Nursing Supervisor to lead and supervise resident care in a skilled nursing/extended care setting. This role requires RN/LPN license, at least two years of long-term care nursing and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Two-year professional nursing experience in long-term care setting.
• Two-years supervisory/management experience with direct care staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and implements nursing policies and procedures that reflect current standards of nursing practice, company, and facility philosophy of care and practices while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff. Monitors practices for effective implementation and achievement of results.
• Gathers and analyzes facts, assesses situations, develops, and implements appropriate actions to investigate, notify appropriate parties, resolve issues, record facts properly, and prevent future reoccurrence.
• Collaborates with physicians, consultants, community agencies, and institutions to improve quality of services and to resolve identified problems.
