Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System’s Birchaven Village is seeking a registered nurse supervisor to support the Director of Nursing and oversee daily nursing operations. You will ensure compliance with standards, mentor staff, and promote high‑quality resident care.

The role requires an Ohio RN licensure, strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety and family collaboration. A $5,000 sign‑on bonus is offered for this position.

Qualifications

• Must be currently licensed in the State of Ohio to practice nursing as a RN.
• Must have leadership ability and be able to express and demonstrate teachings and ideas to all socio‑economical associates and residents.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
• Individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on his/her assigned unit/department.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient status.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assist the LPN/RN in monitoring critical residents and assist in notifying families, physicians, clergy, and hospitals.
• Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharges including completion of paperwork.
• Provides follow-up, including disciplinary interventions, regarding performance concerns and/or clinical issues with Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing.
• Monitor LPN and RN staffing levels and efficiency to ensure that quality care is maintained.
• Assists in the evaluation of nursing staff performance and completes evaluations for staff on designated shift.
