Our Cath Lab unit is a fast-paced environment with high acuity patients. We foster an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member.

Patient Population: Cath Lab, Vascular, Interventional Radiology

Number of Beds: 2 State-of-the-Art Siemens Labs

Department Specifics: Advanced technologies offered include Balloon Pump, Impella, Inari, Shockwave, Penumbra, IVUS, EKOS. Training available for critical care nurses, with opportunities to train for scrub responsibilities for RNs.

Job Summary

You oversee nursing staff and unit operations in the Cath Lab, promoting positive outcomes through partnership. Your responsibilities include overseeing operations, assisting with policy development, managing budgets, leading quality improvement initiatives, organizing educational programs, providing hands-on nursing care as needed, and ensuring departmental and organizational priorities are met.

Essential Functions of the Role

• Create a positive work environment that promotes evidence-based practice and research.
• Collaborate with a diverse team.
• Guide practice changes based on quality improvement initiatives, research, and clinical proposals.
• Provide a therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff, including coordinating care conferences.

• Advocate for patient, family, and staff needs, representing nursing concerns.
• Support staff professional growth in clinical and leadership skills.
• Partner to ensure safe, quality care and participate in patient outcome programs.

• Uphold professional standards and enhance nursing practice through joint governance and decision-making.
