University of North Dakota is seeking a Student Support Services Mentor to support undergraduate nursing students through mentoring, tracking and academic guidance on campus in Grand Forks, ND.

The role emphasizes building trust, coordinating support, and enhancing student success. The position is a 10-month staff appointment with full benefits and a salary range of $42,250–$44,463, with potential total compensation around $68,139 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and ND RN licensure eligibility or active ND RN license.
• One year of RN experience with recent clinical practice in acute or long-term care.
• Basic software experience with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• 80% - Mentor Gero-STARR Nursing Students: develop peer mentor program, provide orientation, conduct needs assessments, meet mentees regularly, review readiness and barriers, assist with academic support and NCLEX prep, support writing and tutoring.
• 20% - Gero-STARR Program Student Recruitment, Engagement and Data Utilization: assist recruitment/retention activities, participate in pre-matriculation programs, represent the program at events, analyze data and support program improvement.
