Fairview Health Services is hiring a Nursing Station Technician for the Med/Surg 7C unit at the University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank in Minneapolis, MN. The role is 0.6 FTE with a 12-hour night shift (7pm–7:30am) and every third weekend rotation.

Responsibilities include direct patient care and cross-training with Health Unit Coordinator duties on a fast-paced unit. Qualifications include BLS certification, completion of Fairview OnTrack or equivalent program, and 6 months of

Qualifikationen

• BLS certification required and must obtain BLS for Healthcare Providers upon completion of OnTrack program.
• Successful completion of Fairview’s OnTrack Nursing Assistant training or another Fairview sponsored Nursing Assistant program.
• Six months of direct care experience in long-term, home care or acute care setting.
• Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program with one semester of clinical rotation completed.
• Current Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry certification upon hire (not required if transferring to another Nursing role).

Aufgaben

• Provide direct patient care including personal hygiene, vitals, activities of daily living and transport.
• Maintain unit desk operations: answer phones, process admissions, discharges and transfers, transcribe orders, assemble charts and order tests.
• Set up and maintain patient rooms and bedside supplies.
• Order and stock supplies to ensure unit readiness.
