Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to ensure full unit staffing for patient care and to manage the Shift Wizard master scheduling system.

The role sits within the Nursing Management Team and reports to the Chief Nursing Officer in Temple, Texas. The position requires coordinating RN, LVN and MHT staffing, applying scheduling rules, and communicating with executive leadership and nursing supervisors about orientation and staffing needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business or related field preferred.
• Two (2) years of hospital staffing/scheduling experience preferred; healthcare setting experience or related office experience acceptable.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license; Handle with Care Training, CPR certification and Service Excellence Training required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily staffing of RN’s, LVN’s and MHT’s
• Maintain business rules, administering shifts and approving shift assignments in the nurse scheduling software
• Communicate with CEO, CFO, CNO and Nurse Supervisors regarding floor orientation scheduling for newly hired employees in the nursing department.
