Job summary

The Shepherd Center in Atlanta is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to manage scheduling of nursing personnel across inpatient units. This role serves as the critical link between patients and healthcare professionals through arranging appropriate coverage and communicating schedules.

Responsibilities include updating Kronos for payroll, upholding regulatory standards, and building strong working relationships with unit managers and nursing staff to support safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Accurately follows all practices and policies related to the Staffing Office (i.e., proactively solicits staff to provide appropriate coverage, follows cancellation hierarchy, assures staff are distributed as needed to meet the needs of the Center, etc.)
• Updating Kronos and issuing standard reports per established timelines so as to ensure proper payment for employees.
• Upholding federal, state, and local standards in scheduling.
• Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with the Unit Managers, Charge Nurses and all other nursing staff.
• Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with Center and departmental policies and procedures.
• Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.
• Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility.
• Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process.
