Job summary

Encompass Health is hiring a Nursing Staffing Coordinator in Houston to manage the nursing schedule and ensure top‑quality patient care. You will coordinate staffing with nursing leaders and perform clerical duties with strong organization.

You will help ensure regulatory compliance, schedule educational opportunities, and communicate staffing changes promptly. This role emphasizes confidentiality and teamwork within a national inpatient rehabilitation leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with staffing or scheduling in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule nursing staff and coordinate with nursing leaders to improve staffing effectiveness.
• Assist and advise supervisors on scheduling issues and problems.
• Ensure employee files meet Joint Commission and regulatory standards.
• Schedule educational opportunities for nursing staff.
• Under CNO supervision, plan and inform staff of their assigned schedules.
• Distribute nursing schedules in a timely manner.
• Advise supervisors of staffing ratio concerns and changes.
• Draft professional letters, emails, reports and presentations.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee personal and financial data.
