Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation in Avondale, AZ, is seeking a Nursing Staffing Coordinator to manage the nursing schedule and coordinate staffing within our inpatient rehabilitation team, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient operations.

You will work with nursing leaders, advise supervisors on scheduling, maintain files per Joint Commission standards, and schedule educational opportunities while keeping schedules confidential.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in staffing or scheduling within a hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with nursing leaders to identify improvements in staffing effectiveness.
• Assist and advise supervisors with scheduling issues.
• Ensure employee/contract/student files meet Joint Commission standards.
• Schedule educational opportunities for nursing staff.
• Under CNO supervision, schedule, coordinate, and inform staff of their assigned schedule.
• Distribute nursing schedule in a timely manner.
• Inform supervisors of staffing ratio problems.
• Draft professional letters, emails, reports and presentations.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee personal and financial data.
