Job summary

Sun Health's La Loma Village in Litchfield Park, AZ, seeks a Staffing Coordinator/Central Supply to ensure appropriate nursing staff coverage. You will interview nursing assistants, follow hiring procedures, and help align staffing with budget constraints while supporting administrators and the Director of Nursing.

This role requires a State Certified Nursing Assistant certification and current CPR, a high school diploma, and preferably prior experience coordinating staffing for long-term care.

Qualifications

• State CNA certification is required.
• Current CPR certification required (AHA).
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience coordinating staffing for a long-term care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview all potential nursing assistants and CNAs and introduce them to staff/management.
• Follow hiring procedures as outlined by policy.
• Collaborate with Administrator and Director of Nursing to identify staffing needs and budget-conscious staffing principles.
• Staff according to State/Federal guidelines and within budget.
• Create and post nursing staff schedules; issue daily assignments/sign-in sheets.
• Assist in budgeting process as needed.
• Complete paperwork timely (PTO requests, timecards, absence records, overtime reports).
• Monitor absenteeism and initiate disciplinary action when needed.
• Be on-call and take staffing phone home when required.
