Job summary

The Stellar Health Group is seeking a Staffing Coordinator/Scheduler for our Burlington facility in Vermont. The role will be responsible for completing, maintaining and updating the schedules of our nurses and nursing assistants, ensuring resident/staff ratios meet requirements, and training on the scheduling system as needed.

The ideal candidate reads, writes and speaks English, demonstrates strong communication, organizational skills, reliability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience and qualifications as a scheduler or in similar scheduling roles.
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.
• Strong communication, organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Reliable, accountable, and able to work in a team.
• Ability to use computer systems and scheduling software; knowledge of safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Schedule staff to meet facility needs and maintain required resident/staff ratios.
• Prepare schedules for new employees and daily documentation.
• Track vacation time, absences, and weekend shifts.
• Attend meetings as required and coordinate with leadership.

The staffing coordinator/ scheduler position is one of our most important and fundamental job opportunities. This person will be responsible for completing, maintaining and updating the schedules of our nurses and nursing assistants. Competency of our scheduling system is required, and training will be provided as needed.

Experience and understanding of a rotating nursing schedule perferred.

Scheduler's responsibilities:

• Schedule available staff/employees to meet facility needs and maintain resident/staff ratios as required.


• Preparing schedules for new employees.


• Daily documentation on required forms.


• Tracking vacation time, absences, weekend make up shifts, ect.


• Attending meetings as required.

Experience and Qualifications as a scheduler:

• Ability to read write and speak english


• Strong people/ communication skills


• Detail oriented and organizational skills


• Reliability and accountability personality traits


• Ability to collaborate and work as a team


• Computer and programming skills


• High School Diploma ( or GED or equivalent)
