Job summary

North Central Texas College is seeking applications for a part-time Nursing Skills Laboratory Resource Specialist in the Nursing Department at the Gainesville campus. The role supports remediation of high-risk students, assists in supervising LVN/ADN students in skills practice, and coordinates inventory and safety compliance.

This 100% grant-funded position offers up to 19 hours per week, with continued employment contingent on grant funding. Travel between campuses may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• RN licensure in Texas or eligibility required.
• Two years of clinical nursing as an RN required.

Responsibilities

• Create a learning environment to enhance conceptual thinking and problem-solving.
• Coordinate with instructors to prepare skills lab demonstrations and activities.
• Provide resources in the skills lab for mastery of psychomotor and clinical reasoning skills.
• Assist and supervise LVN/ADN students to meet course outcomes.
• Maintain student attendance records and skill performance in the lab.
• Collaborate with faculty to plan teaching strategies for clinical skill requirements.
• Develop formal lab skill assessments and provide feedback on student performance.
