Job summary

The University of St. Thomas invites qualified candidates to apply for a Simulation Assistant (Lab Coordinator) position within the Morrison Family College of Health, School of Nursing. This part-time role works approximately 20 hours per week on the St.

Paul campus, and requires CNA licensure or equivalent healthcare certification. You will set up labs, operate simulators, assist with simulation activities, support safety and inventory, and collaborate with faculty to enhance learning

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA licensure or equivalent healthcare certification.
• Minimum two years of professional CNA experience or equivalent healthcare experience.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare all simulation rooms and equipment for each scenario.
• Operate simulation equipment and contribute to fidelity of scenarios.
• Start up and shut down simulators; troubleshoot hardware and AV systems.
• Collaborate with staff to evaluate and improve simulations.
• Support lab operations, inventory management, and daily student interactions.
• Create moulage and other materials for sessions.
• Ensure lab safety protocols are followed.
