Job summary
Cuyahoga Community College seeks a Part-Time Nursing Skills Lab Support Staff member to assist nursing students in a simulated lab, bridging classroom theory with hands-on practice. You will collaborate with the Human Patient Simulation team to implement learning scenarios and assess impact on student performance.
Essential duties include reinforcing instruction, advising students on documentation, and administering competency tests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; significant related experience may substitute education.
- Active, unencumbered Ohio Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of three (3) years of current clinical experience as an RN
- Demonstrated decision-making ability affecting a work unit or team
- Demonstrated effectiveness in roles requiring dynamic and abstract problem-solving in adaptive situations
Responsibilities
- Reinforces instructional delivery using diverse lab modalities.
- Advises and counsels students on documentation and provides feedback.
- Administers competency testing for Nursing Skills Lab students.
- Maintains record-keeping to meet accreditation standards.
- Assists in policy development for the Nursing Skills Lab program.
- Performs circulating duties in the psychomotor curriculum.
