Job summary

Southern Utah University in Cedar City, UT is seeking a part-time Nursing Lab Coordinator to support simulation-based learning in the College of Health Sciences.

You will prepare lab setups, operate simulation equipment, assist with scenarios, supervise open lab hours, maintain inventory, and work with faculty to align activities with curriculum and accreditation standards. A BSN and Utah RN license are required.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Utah RN license required.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prepare simulation and skills lab setups, including equipment, manikins, task trainers, and supplies needed for scheduled scenarios and class activities.
• Assist faculty during simulation sessions, including operation of simulation technology, manikin programming, and scenario flow management.
• Host and supervise open lab hours for student practice, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help students reinforce clinical and technical skills.
• Maintain an inventory for simulation and skills lab equipment, ensuring all items are functional, organized, and ready for instructional use.
• Collaborate with nursing faculty to ensure simulation and skills activities align with curriculum outcomes and meet program accreditation standards.
