Job summary

Chamberlain University, Las Vegas, seeks a Nursing Education & Simulation Specialist to support NCLEX-RN preparation and academic success. You will collaborate with faculty and staff to design and deliver simulation-based experiences and remediation plans that aid student development.

Responsibilities include managing labs, developing outcomes-based scenarios with high-fidelity simulators, and tutoring students to meet program goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Master's degree in Education preferred or Master of Nursing preferred.
• 1+ year experience in academic environment supporting classroom instruction or tutoring preferred.
• Excellent communication skills via telephone, computer, and in person.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and proofreading skills.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Team player, willing to share and collaborate.
• RN license required.
• BLS CPR required and CPR instructor certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate simulation-based experiences (SBE) and labs including equipment maintenance, supplies, set-up and clean-up.
• Demonstrate current knowledge of NCLEX-RN concepts and nursing practice to provide academic support.
• Assist in creating Next Generation NCLEX activities/workshops.
• Provide friendly, professional service to students and staff; ensure effective communication.
• Document student progress toward learning outcomes for retention and program leadership.
• Develop and implement clinically based scenarios for simulated learning experiences with high-fidelity simulators.
• Coordinate and supervise lab experiences to meet course objectives.
• Staff open lab and provide oversight during practice/remediation of nursing skills.
• Offer individual or group tutoring and outreach to at-risk students.
• Perform other duties and comply with policies and standards.
