Chamberlain University in Tysons is seeking a Specialist to provide strategies and academic reinforcement to nursing students, supporting NCLEX-RN prep and clinical learning labs. The role involves individualized assessment, remediation planning, and collaboration with faculty to improve student outcomes.

You will work with students individually and in groups, using simulation-based experiences and high-fidelity scenarios to enhance clinical competence and success in exams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing is required.
• Master's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in an academic environment supporting classroom instruction or tutoring is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills via telephone, computer, and in person.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and proofreading skills.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Team player and collaborative mindset.
• RN license required; BLS CPR required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsabilités

• Facilitate simulation-based experiences (SBE) and labs, including equipment maintenance and setup.
• Maintain current knowledge of NCLEX-RN concepts to support students.
• Assist in creating Next Generation NCLEX activities/workshops.
• Demonstrate professional behaviors and service excellence to students and colleagues.
• Document and communicate students’ progress to academic leadership.
• Develop clinically based scenarios for simulated learning with high-fidelity simulators.
• Coordinate and supervise lab experiences to meet course objectives.
• Staff open labs and supervise student practice/remediation of nursing skills.
• Provide individual or group tutoring as needed.
• Participate in outreach to students with at-risk referrals.
• Perform other duties as assigned; comply with policies and standards.
