Job summary

Bellbrook Health and Rehab in Ohio is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in overseeing the clinical operations of the nursing department and ensure the highest quality of resident care.

The ADON will promote safety, teamwork and continuous improvement, lead in-service education, participate in QAPI activities, and help guide staff through policies while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have a nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum three years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing home, or related facility.
• Current unrestricted RN license.
• Knowledge of long-term care laws, regs, and guidelines.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing day-to-day Nursing Services operations.
• Interpret and communicate policies to nursing staff and monitor practices.
• Participate in QAPI or facility assessment activities.
• Facilitate and participate in facility committees.
• Perform rounds to observe residents and ensure nursing needs are met.
• Oversee in-service education to ensure staff competence.
• Promote teamwork, mutual respect, and effective communication.
• Other duties as assigned.
