Job summary

Athena Health Care Systems’ Marlborough Hills Rehab in Marlborough, MA seeks a Director of Nursing Services to oversee the Nursing Services Department, plan, organize, and direct operations to ensure safe, high-quality resident care.

The role requires a BSN (preferred), MA RN licensure, CPR certification, and experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing with nursing administration. It offers competitive salary up to $160,000 and comprehensive benefits in a salaried, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current, unencumbered Massachusetts RN license.
• CPR certified; Gerontology certification preferred.
• At least one year of rehabilitative or geriatric nursing and one year in administration.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Knowledge of long-term care laws, regulations, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the nursing service department.
• Maintain and review clinical policies, and develop new ones as needed.
• Develop and implement a nursing service organization structure.
• Determine staffing needs and make recommendations to the Administrator.
• Oversee licensed nursing staff and create work assignments and schedules.
• Develop and maintain an on-call program for the nursing department.
• Conduct daily rounds and review resident satisfaction with families and residents.
• Assist in infection control program and safety compliance.
