Job summary

Veterans Health Administration in Nashville, TN, is seeking an Administrative Officer for Nursing Services to oversee administrative functions supporting the Chief Nurse(s) and Nursing Services. The role covers HR, budgeting, management analysis, and office support to ensure program goals and accreditation readiness.

The position is not virtual; you must live within a commutable distance or relocate. Telework may be authorized; typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with a posted salary

• Education or degrees recognized by the U.S. Department of Education from accredited colleges, universities, schools, or institutions may be used to qualify for Federal employment.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the overall administrative management for the organization; interpreting administrative policies, developing and/or implementing local policies, defining administrative requirements, and/or providing advice to top management on related issues.
• Performs administrative management requirements for a medium-sized organization with varied functions; maintains administrative systems and prepares administrative paperwork.
• Oversees administrative programs, including mail distribution, internal controls, records management, publications and forms.
• Directs administrative support services to ensure inquiries and actions are addressed; develops information papers and correspondence on administrative functions.
• Coordinates with Nurse Recruitment Office, Nurse Managers and HR for recruitment of nursing personnel.
