Vernon Health and Living in Wabash, IN is seeking a Scheduler to manage staffing across our skilled nursing or assisted living community. Build, maintain schedules, fill shifts, manage call-offs, and serve as the staffing hub.

Ideal candidates are calm under pressure with strong people skills and scheduling software experience. Requires high school diploma; Indiana CNA/QMA preferred. Full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or healthcare administration training preferred.
• Current CNA/QMA certification in Indiana desirable.
• 1–2 years in scheduling, staffing coordination, or admin in healthcare or long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Build and publish nursing schedules across all shifts; ensure staffing ratios meet state and CMS rules.
• Fill open shifts using internal staff, overtime, PRN, or agency resources; manage real-time call-offs.
• Generate staffing reports and maintain scheduling records in the EHR/system.
