Job summary

River Grove Health and Rehab is seeking a Full-time Scheduler to support the Nursing Department with staff scheduling and daily operations. The role focuses on coordinating shifts, managing call-offs, and ensuring shifts are filled efficiently while meeting staffing requirements.

You will collaborate with Nursing Administration and leadership to maintain adequate staffing, assist with payroll processing, and help create a productive, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license required
• Experience in scheduling or healthcare preferred
• Strong communication and organization skills required

Responsibilities

• Schedule all nursing staff and prepare the weekly nursing schedule; notify staff of their schedules and any necessary changes.
• Receive incoming calls and direct them appropriately to address nursing scheduling issues. Notify Nursing Administration of staffing shortages, scheduling conflicts, or coverage concerns.
• Obtain approval from the Director of Nursing/Administrator before scheduling overtime or utilizing nursing registry personnel.
• Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes such as illness, vacation, PTO, and other staffing needs.
• Collaborate daily with Nursing Administration to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing levels.
• Assist the nursing office with clinical management tasks as needed.
• Assist the payroll manager with weekly payroll processing and verification of nursing hours.
