Job summary

Laurelhurst and Laurelwoods, a Sonida Senior Living community in Columbus, NC, is seeking a licensed NC Medication Aide. You will set up and administer medications per physician orders and supervise CNAs as directed, while assisting residents with personal hygiene and daily living activities.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, weight, urine tests, and documenting intake/output to maintain patient stability. Requires current NC license and ongoing licensure maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must hold NC Medication Aide license in good standing.
• License must be current and unencumbered.

Responsibilities

• Set up and administer resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration, and may supervise CNAs as directed.
• Provide patients’ personal hygiene including bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assist with bathroom travel, showers and baths.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as serving meals, feeding patients, ambulating, turning and positioning; provide water and nourishment between meals.
• Maintain patient stability by checking vital signs, monitoring weight, testing urine, and recording intake/output information.
