Vintage Gardens, a premier retirement community in St. Joseph, MO, is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to join our care team. You will set up and administer medications ordered by physicians, help with residents’ daily needs, and monitor vital signs to maintain health and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in the state as a Medication Aide and maintain current, active, and unencumbered licensure.
• Level 1 Medication Aide (L1MA) certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and administer resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration; may supervise CNAs as directed.
• Assist with personal hygiene tasks including bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; help with bathroom trips, showers, and baths.
• Assist with activities of daily living by serving meals, feeding residents, ambulating, turning and positioning; provide water and nourishment between meals.
• Maintain resident stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information.
