Job summary

Galen College of Nursing in Colorado is seeking a Program Director to provide strategic leadership for the Aurora nursing program. You will guide curriculum, accreditation readiness, and faculty development while partnering with campus leadership to drive student success and community partnerships.

The role focuses on building high-performing teams, advancing regulatory compliance, and delivering measurable outcomes in a student‑centered environment with equity in access to academic resources

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution required.
• Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Current, unrestricted RN license or eligibility for Colorado licensure.
• Progressive leadership experience in accredited nursing education.
• Demonstrated success leading faculty, curriculum, accreditation, assessment, and quality initiatives.
• Knowledge of state board regulations and nursing accreditation standards.
• For Colorado programs, a graduate degree in nursing is required, with a doctorate preferred, and the Program Director must meet applicable Colorado RN licensure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the nursing program and ensure academic excellence.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop nursing faculty focused on innovation and growth.
• Lead initiatives to improve student achievement, NCLEX success, and equity in access to resources.
• Oversee curriculum assessment, outcomes, and accreditation readiness.
• Ensure compliance with state boards and accreditation standards.
• Build partnerships with healthcare organizations and community partners.
• Lead budget planning and operational optimization for the program.
