Chestnut Hill College seeks an Academic Advisor for the Nursing Program to provide comprehensive academic advising and progression guidance to nursing students. The advisor will collaborate with nursing faculty, Student Success, and other college partners to support enrollment through graduation.

The role involves monitoring student progress, identifying barriers, and coordinating outreach, referrals, and program requirements in alignment with College policies and nursing curricula.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license required.
• Professional clinical nursing experience required.
• Minimum of two years of professional experience in academic advising or related field.
• Ability to interpret academic policies and communicate clearly to students.
• Strong organizational and follow-through capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized academic advising to an assigned caseload of nursing students.
• Assist with academic planning, course sequencing, registration, and degree requirements.
• Develop and maintain individualized academic plans to support timely degree completion.
• Monitor progress toward graduation and explain implications of registrations or withdrawals.
• Maintain accurate advising notes and student records per privacy requirements.
• Collaborate with nursing faculty, Student Success, and other offices to resolve student concerns.
