The NPD Specialist operates with limited supervision, focusing on onboarding, competency management, continuing education, role development, and research in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
• RN license in Washington State or multi-state licensure endorsement.
• ANCC NPD specialty certification preferred; if not, must acquire within two years of hire.
• Minimum four years of nursing experience.
• Minimum three years of program management experience within an education role preferred.
• Minimum three years previous experience as unit educator, system educator, NPD Specialist/Generalist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tools, theories, and knowledge of nursing professional development.
• Assess practice gaps and identify learning needs.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate learning initiatives and competency development.
• Lead and collaborate with staff to promote evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
• Serve as a learning facilitator, mentor, change agent, and leader within the organization.
