The position requires a BSN, 3+ years nursing experience, CT RN license, and NPD/Clinical Certification within two years. BLS is also required, with day-shift, full-time hours in Med Education and Development.

Qualifications

  • BSN required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of active clinical nursing experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an acute care environment or area of specialty.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (CT DPH) obtained prior to hire date.
  • NPD or Clinical Specialty Certification within two years of hire/transfer.
  • BLS required.

  • Develop, facilitate, conduct, and evaluate onboarding programs.
  • Transform processes using change management strategies to drive desired outcomes.
  • Promote scientific inquiry and the use of evidence to improve NPD practice.

About This Role

The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner (RN) is responsible for influencing professional role competence and growth of learners within the Nursing Professional Development framework. This role is ideal for experienced RNs who are passionate about education and professional development in nursing.
