Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a senior nursing leader to drive strategic initiatives in clinical quality and workforce development. You will lead programs that advance nursing care delivery, partner with academic and community organizations, and mentor staff through transition-to-practice initiatives.

The role emphasizes change management, program evaluation, and collaboration to uphold magnet standards and high patient care quality in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with active license
  • Minimum 5+ years as staff nurse in acute care
  • Strong nursing leadership and program development
  • Experience collaborating with academic/community partners
  • Proficient in change management and data-driven improvements
  • Excellent communication and mentoring abilities
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office suite

Responsibilities

Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Leads strategies based on industry and organizational data to implement initiatives improving nursing care delivery.
  • Provides leadership in developing programs to support career pathways for team members within the nursing workforce pipeline.
  • Collaborates with academic and community organizations to create experiential learning opportunities for students and prospective allied health and nursing employees.
  • Conducts periodic assessments and evaluations of innovative nursing programs, implementing changes as necessary.
  • Works with leaders and stakeholders to identify, implement, and evaluate processes that drive exceptional clinical outcomes through nursing workforce innovation.
  • Participates in organizational leadership programs to oversee clinical quality training and develop measures to improve patient care quality.
  • Provides ongoing coaching and mentoring to workforce innovation students and team members.
  • Implements processes that support local academic institutions' needs, leveraging students through Transition to Practice into acute care settings.
  • Utilizes Change Management Principles to support leaders in meeting goals through Healthy Work Environment (HWE) models.
  • Functions as an advisor for interdisciplinary teams to maintain clinical expertise aligned with current trends and workforce development programs.
  • Networks with appropriate forums to present and publish nursing research outcomes.
  • Initiates and supports research projects at the campus level to sustain magnet standards and accreditation through data collection, evaluation, and statistical analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:
  • Associate's of Nursing [Required]
  • Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
  • Master's [Preferred]
Field of Study:
  • in Nursing/related field or Business Administration
Work Experience:
  • 5+ as a staff nurse in an acute care setting [Required]
