Job summary

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites applications for a tenure-track Associate Professor of Nursing Practice beginning Fall 2027. This is a 9-month academic appointment located on the Corpus Christi campus.

Faculty will teach, conduct research, pursue external funding, and engage in service activities, mentoring students, advising, and supervising DNP projects.

Qualifications

• PhD in Nursing with a research focus from an accredited institution.
• Current unencumbered RN and/or APRN license in Texas by appointment.
• Established program of research with funding.
• Experience in higher education teaching.
• 5+ years of experience at the Assistant Professor or comparable rank.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in nursing practice and related areas.
• Maintain an active program of scholarly research and seek external funding.
• Contribute to college, university, and community service activities.
• Mentor and advise students; supervise DNP projects.
• Engage in curriculum development and program assessment.
