Job summary

OU Health is seeking an experienced Manager of Nursing to oversee daily clinical operations, uphold nursing standards, and lead a department to deliver safe, high-quality patient care. You will model OU Health values, mentor staff, manage budgets, and collaborate with physicians and leaders to drive performance and improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing, 3–5 years of leadership experience, an Oklahoma RN license, and BLS certification; Master’s in Nursing is preferred to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• Master's in Nursing preferred.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience required (e.g., Charge Nurse, Educator).
• Active RN license in Oklahoma or eNLC with residency within 6 months.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for clinical care and departmental performance and metrics.
• Supports quality initiatives and a culture of safety and civility.
• Develops performance improvement tools, productivity reports, and quality statistics.
• Resolves patient complaints in a timely manner per policy.
• Establishes and implements policies; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Manages department budget and resources; understands financial processes.
• Represents nursing to senior leadership; collaborates with clinicians.
• Leads and coaches staff; provides real-time feedback and recognition.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
