Job summary

Accel at College Station is seeking an Assistant Director of Nurses - LVN/RN to lead nursing operations, oversee staff, and ensure high-quality patient care within a regulated clinical setting. The role requires Texas LVN or RN licensure, 2+ years of clinical nursing experience, and demonstrated leadership.

You will supervise nursing personnel, participate in policy development, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care quality.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Texas LVN or RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices and healthcare regulations.
• Basic proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in managing nursing staff schedules, assignments, and performance evaluations to ensure adequate coverage and high-quality care.
• Provide direct supervision and guidance to Licensed Vocational Nurses and other nursing personnel, promoting professional development and adherence to best practices.
• Monitor patient care activities to ensure compliance with established protocols, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans and facilitate effective communication among healthcare providers.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing policies, procedures, and quality improvement programs.
• Respond promptly to patient and family concerns, ensuring a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Assist in maintaining accurate and timely documentation related to nursing activities, staffing, and patient care.
• Support infection control initiatives and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
