Job summary

San Simeon by the Sound Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). The ADON partners with the Director of Nursing to oversee clinical operations, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, infection prevention, and survey readiness across the facility.

Key duties include ensuring staffing adequacy, guiding clinical teams, participating in care planning, and supporting QA and performance

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license is required.
• Nursing leadership or supervisory experience is required.
• Knowledge of CMS and NYS skilled nursing regulations preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the Nursing Department.
• Provide leadership and clinical guidance to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and nursing staff.
• Ensure adequate staffing based on resident acuity and facility needs.
• Monitor quality and safety of resident care and address concerns.
