Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher; within 24 months of graduation acceptable
• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
• Current West Virginia RN license
• Maintains required CEUs for licensure
• Certification Specialty is preferred
• CPR certification required
• Minimum 3–5 years of position-related experience

Responsibilities

• Allocate human resources using the unit staffing matrix to promote safe and compassionate nursing care.
• Provide education and training to staff to meet standards of practice.
• Complete payroll for the unit and manage the unit performance improvement plan.
• Assist the nurse manager with on-call responsibilities and staffing decisions.
• Serve as staff nurse when needed to support patient care and unit operations.
• Collaborate with Nurse Manager/Director on planning, innovation, and evaluation of unit activities.
