Job summary

Amatus Health in Baltimore, MD seeks an experienced Nursing Manager to oversee clinical nursing operations within our substance use disorder programs, including detox and residential treatment. This full-time, day-shift role requires on-call availability and leadership to ensure high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.

You will supervise nursing staff, coordinate staffing, collaborate with medical providers and therapists on treatment planning, and drive continuous quality

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or eligible for endorsement.
• 3–5 years nursing experience with 1–2 years in leadership.
• Direct experience in substance use disorder treatment, detox and residential settings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in behavioral health/SUD treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to nursing staff across detox and residential programs.
• Ensure safe, patient-centered care.
• Supervise, train, and mentor nursing team; manage performance.
• Coordinate staffing schedules; provide on-call coverage.
• Collaborate with medical providers and leadership on treatment planning.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accrediting standards.
• Monitor clinical workflows, documentation, and QA processes.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and staff development.
• Respond to clinical issues and emergencies as needed.
