Job summary

Rockingham County, NH is seeking a Nursing Manager to supervise nursing staff across units on the 2nd shift. The role emphasizes maintaining high-quality care, rounds to identify changes, and ongoing staff development.

The Nursing Manager coordinates with Unit Managers, supports residents’ well-being, and participates in surveys and daily operations. A valid nursing license and IV/CPR qualifications are required, with opportunities for professional growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid, unencumbered LPN license; RN license preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years full-time or equivalent experience in a Long Term/Acute Care setting with a minimum of two (2) years in a management, supervisory or administrative capacity.
• IV certified and/or willing to become IV certified within six (6) months in position.
• CPR certified.
• Intermediate computer proficiency skills with Microsoft Office applications.
• Must have a solid working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems.
• Must have good interpersonal relations with proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with Time and Attendance software systems is necessary.
• Must be able to cope with frequent interruptions and managing multiple, competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing personnel on all units on the assigned shift and ensure quality care.
• Provide physical and psychological support for residents/clients.
• Engage with employees and residents through rounds and assess changes in residents’ condition.
• Oversee equipment/supplies and participate in new employee orientations and quality improvement activities.
• Complete performance reviews for Unit Managers and conduct medication pass reviews; attend mandatory meetings.
