Job summary
Maricopa County is seeking a Nursing Manager to lead clinical operations for Correctional Health services. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide world-class patient care for the incarcerated population, overseeing clinical assessments, interventions, and staff performance.
The role offers a 3PM–11PM shift, leadership responsibilities, and opportunities for professional growth within the department. A RN license and supervisory experience are required.
Qualifications
- Five years of experience as a Registered Nurse in hospital or ambulatory care.
- Two years of supervisory or clinical oversight experience.
- Valid, unrestricted RN license (Arizona or multi-compact).
- BSN or higher may substitute for one year of nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct supervision for 24/7 clinical staff, including scheduling, timecards, and performance reviews.
- Ensures clinic compliance with NCCHC standards and conducts annual audits.
- Drives operational improvements in collaboration with nursing leadership.
- Mentors nursing staff and coordinates training in CHS policies.
- Conducts on-site orientation for new staff and communicates expectations.
- Responds to clinical emergencies and ensures proper patient care procedures.
- Develops clinic operating procedures and monitors documentation and eHealth records.
