Job summary

Maricopa County is seeking a Nursing Manager for Correctional Health Services to provide clinical direction and supervision for 24/7 nursing staff. The role focuses on patient care within the jail system, ensuring NCCHC standards, and partnering with leadership on operational improvements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a registered nurse and 2+ years in supervisory roles, with an active RN license (Arizona or multi-compact).

Qualifications

Five years of RN experience in a hospital or ambulatory care setting.
Two years of supervisory or clinical oversight experience.
Active, unrestricted RN license (Arizona or multi-compact state).
BSN or higher may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision for 24/7 clinical staff, including timecard approval, overtime, scheduling, coaching and performance reviews.
Maintain clinic compliance with NCCHC standards and annual audits.
Collaborate with nursing leadership to drive operational improvements and change management.
Mentor nursing staff and coordinate education with CHS Education.
Provide on-site orientation to new staff and set job expectations and procedures.
Respond to clinical emergencies and oversee patient care tasks.
Develop clinic operating procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
