Job summary

Centurion-Spine-and-Pain-Center in Waycross, GA seeks a Nurse Manager to oversee day-to-day ASC operations and lead nursing and clinical staff across Pre-Op, OR, and PACU, ensuring safe, high-quality perioperative care.

You will partner with the Director of Nursing, physicians, anesthesia providers, and administration to optimize patient flow, regulatory readiness, and performance improvement, while mentoring staff and promoting accountability and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years perioperative nursing experience, ASC or surgical setting preferred.
• Nursing leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification; PALS preferred or required by patient population.
• Knowledge of Pre-Op, OR, PACU operations and perioperative standards.
• Familiarity with ASC regulatory and accreditation requirements (CMS and standards).
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain readiness for regulatory surveys and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Support infection prevention, medication safety, emergency prep, QA and PI initiatives.
• Participate in policy development and act as a clinical resource; provide direct patient care when needed.

Position Summary:

This position provides leadership and oversight to nursing and clinical staff, supports regulatory and accreditation compliance, and works closely with the Director of Nursing, physicians, anesthesia providers, and administrative leadership to promote efficient surgical operations and an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily leadership and supervision of ASC nursing and clinical staff, including Pre-Op, OR, PACU, and other assigned clinical areas.
• Coordinate daily staffing and assignments based on surgical volume, patient acuity, and operational needs.
• Promote safe, efficient patient flow throughout the perioperative process.
• Ensure nursing practices and clinical operations comply with established policies, procedures, standards of care, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Monitor staff performance, provide coaching and feedback, and participate in performance evaluations and corrective action as appropriate.
• Assist with recruitment, orientation, training, competency validation, and ongoing development of clinical staff.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical teams to address operational and patient-care concerns.

• Monitor adherence to patient safety protocols, documentation standards, and infection-control practices.
• Assist with management of clinical supplies, equipment, medication processes, and inventory to support efficient operations.
• Review clinical incidents, variances, and patient-care concerns and assist with appropriate follow-up and process improvement.
• Participate in development, implementation, and review of clinical policies and procedures.
• Serve as a clinical resource and provide direct patient care when necessary to support staffing or operational needs.
• Promote a professional, collaborative, and accountable work environment focused on patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of perioperative nursing experience, preferably in an ASC or surgical setting.
• Previous nursing leadership, supervisory, charge nurse, or management experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS preferred or required based on patient population.
• Knowledge of Pre-Op, OR, and PACU operations and perioperative nursing standards.
• Familiarity with ASC regulatory and accreditation requirements, including CMS and applicable accreditation standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN or advanced nursing degree.
• CNOR, CAPA, CPAN, or other relevant perioperative certification.
• Experience with quality improvement, infection prevention, regulatory surveys, and ASC accreditation.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary clinical teams.
