Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Nurse Manager for a community health/wellness clinic in Long Beach, CA. The role combines patient care with administrative duties under the Nursing Director guidance.

Schedule is Monday to Friday 8-5p PST, with no weekends. The position oversees about 5 staff (MA, LVN, RN, admin) and emphasizes staff administration, with RN care as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience as an RN with a BA in Nursing.
• 2 years experience in an outpatient, ambulatory health care clinic, preferably at a federally qualified health center (FQHC).
• 2 years’ experience in management in a clinical or hospital setting required
• Must have experience from ambulatory health, outpatient clinic, hospital ER, family/primary/internal med practice OR non profit

Responsibilities

• Staff administration including scheduling, evaluations, performance, oversight and conflict resolution.
• Lead a team of around 5 employees (MAs, LVNs, RNs and administrative staff).
• Provide RN patient care when necessary (about 1 day admin / 3-4 days patient care).

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Nurse Manager for a community health/wellness clinic in Long Beach, CA 90813. The position incorporates patient care and administrative duties under the supervision of the Nursing Director.

Schedule is Monday to Friday 8-5p PST (closed for 1 hour lunch) and no weekends.

The Nurse Manager will manage on average 5 employees between MA's, LVN's, RNs and administrative staff. 75% of responsibilities are geared toward staff administration (scheduling, evaluations, performance, oversight, conflict resolution, leadership etc.) and 25% of the role includes RN patient care when necessary (1 day of admin work, usually 3-4 days of patient care).

Clinic Overview: The clinic provides culturally competent medical, services to low-income adult individuals in Los Angeles County, with a specific focus on the LGBT community and other underserved communities.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5 years’ experience as an RN with a BA in Nursing
• 2 years experience in an outpatient, ambulatory health care clinic, preferably at a federally qualified health center (FQHC).
