Job summary

SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking a Magnet Program Coordinator to provide operational, programmatic, and educational support for the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program across Upstate University Health System.

Reporting to the Magnet Program Manager, the role supports planning, coordination, and evaluation of initiatives that advance professional nursing practice and sustain Magnet readiness.

Qualifications

• NYS-licensed RN (or eligible).
• Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• 2 years of progressive nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, analytical, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination, and evaluation of Magnet-related initiatives across Upstate University Health System.
• Assist in collecting, validating, analyzing, and managing nursing quality, patient experience, and other Magnet documentation.
• Promote evidence-based practice, performance improvement, and compliance with ANCC Magnet standards to sustain Magnet designation.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership, shared governance, interprofessional teams, and frontline staff.
