Job summary

The Jasper of Sarasota, a Sonida Senior Living community in Sarasota, FL, is seeking an LPN/LVN to oversee nursing assistants and administer medications for residents in an Assisted Living and Memory Care setting.

You will ensure resident safety, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with the nursing team to deliver high-quality care. Licensed nurses with at least 1 year of experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN/LVN with current license.
• Minimum 1 year experience required.
• Experience with assisted living or memory care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants.
• Administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Prepare reports and recommendations on shifts.
• Ensure adequate supply of medications, equipment, and supplies.
• Place calls to pharmacies to order prescriptions.
• Maintain patient charts and assist with general office duties.

LPN/LVN Responsibilities include:

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern the Assisted Living Facility
• Administer all medications as ordered by the physician
• Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your shift as required
• Ensure adequate supply of medications, supplies and equipment is on hand to meet the nursing needs of residents. Report needs to the nursing supervisor
• Place phone calls to pharmacies to order prescriptions
• Pulls and prepares patient charts; performs other general office duties as required

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experience required
• Must be licensed as an LPN/LVN, and must maintain current and unencumbered licensure
