Job summary

The Ashton on Dorsey in Louisville, KY is seeking an LPN/LVN to oversee day-to-day nursing assistant duties in our Assisted Living community. You will administer medications as ordered, report on shift activities, ensure adequate medications and supplies, and coordinate with the nursing supervisor to meet residents’ care needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience required.
• Must be licensed as an LPN/LVN and maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants.
• Administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning shift activities.
• Ensure adequate supply of medications, supplies and equipment; report needs to the nursing supervisor.
• Place phone calls to pharmacies to order prescriptions.
• Pulls and prepares patient charts; perform general office duties as required.

LPN/LVN Responsibilities include:

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern the Assisted Living Facility
• Administer all medications as ordered by the physician
• Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your shift as required
• Ensure adequate supply of medications, supplies and equipment is on hand to meet the nursing needs of residents. Report needs to the nursing supervisor
• Place phone calls to pharmacies to order prescriptions
• Pulls and prepares patient charts; performs other general office duties as required

Qualifications:
