Job summary

The Ashton on Dorsey, a Sonida Senior Living community in Louisville, KY, is hiring an LPN/LVN to join our nursing team. You will supervise nursing assistants, administer medications as ordered, and document patient care in accordance with regulations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants in accordance with regulations.
• Administer all medications as ordered by physician.
• Make reports/recommendations concerning shift activities as required.
• Ensure adequate supply of medications and equipment and report needs to nursing supervisor.
• Place calls to pharmacies to order prescriptions.
• Maintain patient charts and perform general office duties as required.

LPN/LVN Responsibilities include:

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern the Assisted Living Facility
• Administer all medications as ordered by the physician
• Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your shift as required
• Ensure adequate supply of medications, supplies and equipment is on hand to meet the nursing needs of residents. Report needs to the nursing supervisor
• Place phone calls to pharmacies to order prescriptions
• Pulls and prepares patient charts; performs other general office duties as required

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experience required
• Must be licensed as an LPN/LVN, and must maintain current and unencumbered licensure
