Job summary

UCP Long Island seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing in Commack, NY to lead nursing across OPWDD-certified residential programs. You will develop objectives, policies, and procedures, ensure a robust Nursing Quality Assurance Plan, and maintain regulatory compliance.

You will guide RNs, LPNs, Nursing Supervisors, and AMAP staff, fostering excellence through mentoring and collaboration. Requires NYS RN license, BSN/MS, and 5+ years leadership.

Qualifications

• NYS RN license required
• BSN or MS in Nursing required
• 5+ years of leadership experience
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
• OPWDD experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop nursing objectives, policies, and procedures
• Establish and improve Nursing Quality Assurance Plan
• Maintain compliance with care standards and regulations
• Implement ICF and IRA regulations
• Participate in management meetings and team conferences
• Provide healthcare consultation and emergency nursing coverage
• Lead and mentor a team of RNs, LPNs, Nursing Supervisors, and AMAP staff
